Description

Sildenafil is an ED treatment sold under different names, the most famous one – Viagra. It was created by British scientists as a pulmonary arterial hypertension treatment and was brought to the USA by the company Pfizer. Sildenafil is used for erectile dysfunction, pulmonary hypertension and altitude sickness treatments and have shown amazing results in all cases.

Action

Sildenafil works as an enzyme delaying the degradation of cGMP. cGMP regulates all the processes connected with the blood flow to the penis. Thus, preventing the degradation of cGMP, sildenafil stimulates blood flow in the body and has a rejuvenating and a revitalizing effect. A great plus of sildenafil as an ED treatment is that it can be used in all settings, even when a person has problems with cardio-vascular system (in this case the consultation with your therapist is obligatory!) or is ill with diabetes.

Dosage

Each pill of Viagra (or the pill under another TM) can contain “25″, “50″ or “100″ of sildenafil. It’s taken once a day, 4 hours prior to sex. When used for pulmonary hypertension treatment, sildenafil is taken 3 times a day (the dosage – 20 mg a time).

Side-effects

The most common side-effects of sildenafil are: headache, blurred vision, nasal congestion, flushing and dyspepsia. They take place in case of overdosing, allergy to sildenafil or problems with health. In the most serious cases hearing loss, severe hypotension, myocardial infarction, stroke or nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy can occur.
