Sensibility characteristic curves for the SCM130

Relationship between R0/Rs and the gas concentration.

Relationship between Voltage and the gas concentration.

The curves were characterized at the following conditions::

Temperature, 20 °C, Humidity, 65%, Oxygen concentration, 21%, RL= 100 KOhms. Rs is the sensing element resistance value in clean air.

Relationship between surface resistance at different environment humidity. Rs is the surface resistance at 20°C and 0% of relative humidity.

Electric parameters of the measurement circuit

The standard test circuit for the SCM130.

As environment temperature and humidity have certain effect to sensitivity.

So, must consider environment factor when accurately measuring.

Shows the relationship R0/Rs with the temperature and the humidity.

Sensitivity adjustment.

Resistance value changing of SCM130 will be cause by different pieces and gas concentration. So, when using the component, sensitivity adjustment is necessary.

We suggest that use 100-300ppm of alcohol concentration to run the adjustment procedure.

Adjustment steps:

1. Input gas to application circuits.

2. After storage please pre-heating sensor over 24 hours in order to guarantee sensor can reach stability completely.

3. In the detecting gas concentration, adjust load resistance RL until suitable output signal coming out.
