RS232 to RS485 Converters

AUTO485

AUTO485 is an automatic RS232-to-RS485 converter. Do not need a control signal. AUTO485 connector has four ports on frontispiece, the two ports are RS 485 Power bus (-, +), others are RS 485 Massage bus (A, B).
The converter needs a 5vcc power supply connected to the terminals - and +. Power supply tolerance is between 4.5v to 5.5v.

The 120 ohm terminal resistor is inside the screw terminal, so customers may directly connect it without any resistor.

The following are some possible applications:

	For programming an PLC via its RS485 port so that its RS232 port can be freed for connecting to other devices such as HMI, SCADA, barcode scanner, smart card readers, etc.
	For linking as many as 240 PLCs via RS485 multi-drop bus to a single PC for local programming or remote programming / monitoring via the Internet.
	To transparently convert the PLC's RS485 port into an additional RS232 port for interfacing to third party RS232 devices. This is made possible by auto-turnaround features built into the adapter.

This RS232-to-RS485 converter is the DIN version for the AUTO485 converter.

ADAP485

This RS232-to-RS485 converter supports both /RTS-controlled turnaround and automatic turnaround of the transceiver buffer. The following are some possible applications:

	For programming an SCMT PLC via its RS485 port so that its RS232 port can be freed for connecting to other devices such as HMI, SCADA, barcode scanner, smart card readers, etc.
	For linking as many as 240 PLCs via RS485 multi-drop bus to a single PC for local programming or remote programming / monitoring via the Internet.
