The SCMD100/24 and
SCMD100/48 are parallel digital I/O boards which provide either 24 or 48 TTL/CMOS
compatible input/output lines for a direct interface to a wide variety of peripherials.
Applications include interfacing to analytical instrumentation, controlling external
devices, or a direct relay control interface such as our RIB101 Relay Board.
Installed on the SCMD100 is the popular 82C55 PPI chip, it is configured as three
8-Bit ports A(0), B(1), and C(2). Port C(2) is further divided into two groups each,
the lower four and the upper four bits. Each of these ports can be programmed as
basic inputs/outputs or some of Port C(2) bits can be used to control data transfers. |
Technical information:
- 82C55 PPI chip (3 programmable 8-Bit ports, 2.5ma drive per line)
- SCMD100/24 has 24 I/O lines (1-82C55) with data access from DB25S edge connector.
- SCMD100/48 has 48 programmable TTL lines (Digital I/O from 2-82C55's).
- SCMD100/48 data access is through DB25S edge connector for first 24 TTL lines and
on-board 26-pin IDC header for second 24 TTL lines. Optional cable assembly available
(CAB25) for on-board IDC header, See the Cables page for details.
- Jumper selectable base address range (200H to 2FFH), I/O mapped.
- PC-XT/AT/Pentium ISA bus compatible
- Short slot size 3.9" x 4.8"
- Includes disk of software drivers for accessing I/O in Windows 3.1x, Win95/98, NT with
demo software in BASIC, C++, and Visual Basic. (source and executable)
Cyber Tools Compatible.
